Magical Christmas-13,000 miles away from home To all my dearest friends, Firstly let me apologise for not updating my blog in quite a while! After much deliberation I decided to take a break from work, away from it all and bought myself a ticket to London for a much needed holiday. It has a been a good 2 years since I graduated and I thought it would be nice to have a change of environment (even if its only for a few weeks). First things first...upon arrival at London Heathrow.. the first thing that greeted me was the cold British weather... chilly cold wind slapped right on my face. Cool... Went to several places which usually a typical tourist to London would not visit... i.e. the Shakespere's Musuem, Greenwich Park, Royal Observatory Tower, and up North to see my old university, meet up with my lecturer, sit in the library, basking in the nostalgic memories of my years there.. everything was still very much the same. I also took the university bus from the city to the accommodation hall which I first stayed in when I came to Newcastle. And it was absolutely beautiful. Every building, every tree... I remembered them in detail. And it was just like yesterday. Before I knew it, tears welled up in my eyes. Although I can't say its been so long, I can safely say its been long enough for me. I left Newcastle feeling rejuvenated. For some reasons you do have to retrace your steps in life to move on. I think. My friends and I had turkey for Christmas, complete with mince pies, roast potatoes, champagne and mulled wine. Guess you could say I was pretty pissed after all the drinks... but it was the best Christmas I ever had. Being able to completely relax your mind and just do nothing but eat, play and watch telly has become a luxury since I started working. And the Christmas dinner was absolute bliss. Well... its a very emotional entry really... lots of memories coming back to me... and my wonderful friends whom I had not seen for a long time... I am really proud of them. Each of them with a successful career in a foreign country, and yet nothing about them has changed. Absolutely wonderful. Well... thats about it really. I know this post probably would not make much sense... but when I get all my pictures uploaded... I will let the pictures tell the story. The story of my magical Christmas 2004. Till then, its terraaah for now! ("teraaah" means byee in local jargon) And by the way, I will be going to Copenhagen tonight. Plan to visit Sweden as well. Right then, everybody have a smashing New Year 2005! by miracle8 at 09:52 pm

Profile Right... four years exactly into working life and suddenly I found the urgent need to ramble about my not so interesting life...here goes:
I am: Liberal and radical on paper only. This is the basic description I would give myself. I am a good listener and usually offer sensible advice. If I don't sound like myself, its must be my evil twin at work :P I am passionate about: Music and Arts. Can't imagine what this world would be like without these two essential elements. When I'm not working my head off I like: Meeting new people from all walks of life and listening to their life experiences. I take things with an open mind (albeit not completely Zen like) and always remind myself not to take anything in life for granted. And I wish: All my friends, my family and everybody else who will somehow cross paths with me, a fulfulling life, in terms of work and relationships. And remember, you only live once. So make the best out of it. :) Tag Board Calendar
