Mount Singai-a treat for nature lovers

"Take nothing but photographs. Leave nothing but footprints" is what greets you at the foot of Mount Singai, a Catholic memorial and pilgrimage centre. To access the centre, you need to climb 486 steps uphill. I used to climb Mount Singai on a much frequent basis. After much deliberation I finally decided to set foot upon this beautiful land again.

Mount Singai is located at Bau, a town about 35 km away from Kuching city. One feels very much at ease in the tranquil surroundings, free from pollution and the daily hustle and bustle of city life. For those of us who rise and shine amidst concrete buildings, Mount Singai is indeed a refreshing change.

A solemn reminder to all who visit this holy land greets you at the entrance.

A walking path ensues thereafter:

before it becomes steep like this:

Wah... freaking tired man, walking up all that steps. Makes me wonder in awe how the pilgrims carried the building materials and build the steps manually. Goes to show that determination knows no boundaries. Wow.

This is how the pilgrimage centre looks like:

My handsome big brother demonstrating how huge and wide the trees in Mount Singai are.

Ahh... view from the mountain top. Priceless.
It was a good trip nevertheless. Sweating profusely all the way when I reached the pilgrimage centre, but it was worth it. Hope I get to go again this weekend.
So guys, you know when you come to visit me, this will be one of the places that I will take you. ;)
I could not help but take a picture of a chilli plant which bears purple chillies. I kid you not. Have a look:

Looks very much like bird's eye chilli, only that its purple. I have no idea how it tastes though.
I found this banana tree rather attractive:

Ah, after strenuous physical activity, one must indulge in glorious food. So me and my brother decided to go to Batu Kawa Old Town for some good old meatball noodles. Anyone in Kuching would have heard of the lurvely Batu Kawa Meat Balls. We were halfway through our food when I realised I had forgotten to take a picture of the meatballs, so here you have it:
Yummylicious... Gerentee tidak halal. Right... gtg now. Ciaos!

To be able to rationale pertaining to religious beliefs, and offer your reasoned (and reason-responsive) immunity with religious beliefs for an excess group thinking worth distinctive account, I'm just eager to have fun with. I actually unquestionably scholarship a presence of your event with religious beliefs; just what exactly I want to find is actually a reasoned flooring to bring religious beliefs certainly as a easy way winning to your truth of the matter, without, express, just simply as a easy way people today relaxation ourselves plus one (a acceptable performance we conduct bring seriously). Nonetheless you mustn't expect to have people so that you can complement a person's protection with religious beliefs for a road to truth of the matter if perhaps during every factor you actually please the particular dispensation you will be really endeavoring to rationalise. So that you can please religious beliefs if rationale includes you actually endorsed to a area, take into account if you actually really want to reject rationale if rationale is definitely in your corner.

Right... four years exactly into working life and suddenly I found the urgent need to ramble about my not so interesting life...here goes:

I am:
Liberal and radical on paper only. This is the basic description I would give myself. I am a good listener and usually offer sensible advice. If I don't sound like myself, its must be my evil twin at work :P

I am passionate about:
Music and Arts. Can't imagine what this world would be like without these two essential elements.

When I'm not working my head off I like:
Meeting new people from all walks of life and listening to their life experiences. I take things with an open mind (albeit not completely Zen like) and always remind myself not to take anything in life for granted.
And I wish:
All my friends, my family and everybody else who will somehow cross paths with me, a fulfulling life, in terms of work and relationships. And remember, you only live once. So make the best out of it. :)
