Australia trip finale-Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary and Sydney CBD

This marks the final part of my Aussie trip series. For my London trip in 2004, I wrote a lot of narratives and pictures took a back seat. For this trip, I took a different approach due to time constraints. I would eventually do a write-up as part of my travel records, but at the moment it's just not feasible to do so.

Anyway, I won't be updating as much as I like to after this, so hopefully all the pictures will keep you company! :D

Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary

This is an emu.

Keepers of the sanctuary showing the audience what this owl is capable of during the "birds of prey" show.

An aboriginal man playing the Diggory Doo, an aboriginal Australian instrument.

Aww... he's so shy. Meet Hamish, the koala!

"Oh hello!"

This is an echidna. Looks like a porcupine.

Friendly kangaroos who follow you like a puppy! Cute!

This is a walloby. A smaller version of a kangaroo.

A wombat hiding inside it's lair and eating nuts. Its quite large actually.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the Tasmanian Devil. We had a hard time trying to get a good picture of this tassie devil since it was always on the move!

Another view of the Tasmanian Devil. Now where did the cartoonist get his version of the Tasmanian Devil cartoon character from?

Sydney CBD

View from Cockles Bay, Sydney.

Cathedral and fountain near Hyde Park, Sydney.

Huge chess set near Hyde Park.

Aerial view of Sydney from AMP towers.

Interior of Queen Victoria Building, Sydney.

New South Wales State Library, Sydney.

View of the Sydney Opera House from Circular Quay.

Another view of Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Harbour Bridge behind it. Picture taken from Mrs. Macquarie's chair, next to the Sydney Royal Botanical Gardens.

Some hot guy giving out free hugs.

Don't miss Sydney's Paddy's Markets. The place to get souvenirs, sweets, T-shirts etc.

Well, thats it! :) Hope you've enjoyed my Aussie trip series.

Take care now.

Profile

Right... four years exactly into working life and suddenly I found the urgent need to ramble about my not so interesting life...here goes:

I am:
Liberal and radical on paper only. This is the basic description I would give myself. I am a good listener and usually offer sensible advice. If I don't sound like myself, its must be my evil twin at work :P

I am passionate about:
Music and Arts. Can't imagine what this world would be like without these two essential elements.

When I'm not working my head off I like:
Meeting new people from all walks of life and listening to their life experiences. I take things with an open mind (albeit not completely Zen like) and always remind myself not to take anything in life for granted.
And I wish:
All my friends, my family and everybody else who will somehow cross paths with me, a fulfulling life, in terms of work and relationships. And remember, you only live once. So make the best out of it. :)
