There just isn't enough time -to tell your parents that you appreciate what they have done for you so far. -to have breakfast with your mom while you discuss the events of the previous day. -to sit back and relax while your sister tells you what is going on in her life. -to appreciate the beauty of your garden. -to savour what life has to offer. A choice has been made, and I hope its the right one. Wednesday, March 14, 2007
Missing a flight and falling on all fours~not pretty :p Blunder Part 1: Went to KL last week to meet up with Archangel and see him off at the airport. Sorry guys if I didn't call beforehand, as this was a last minute decision to go over. I missed my flight home on Sunday for the first time. :P Relax folks. Guess this is what happens when you try to push your luck with budget airlines. The man at the check-in counter just smiled at me and said " Sorry, this is what you get when you travel with (insert name of the only low cost carrier in this country). We close 45 minutes before departure (yes, i knew that)." There was another man who was on the same flight as I was, and he was trying to convince the ground staff that they could let him in as the flight was delayed anyway. "Sorry sir, you just have to get another ticket." I wasn't really in the mood to argue for the following reasons: 1. I did not make it within the 45 minute mark; 2. I had a meeting outstation the next day, so I would have to get back to Kuching by hook or by crook; 3. I was very tired. A new ticket had to be purchased~but I was glad in a way that I could spend one more hour chatting to my brother. Oh and we left for LCCT late because we decided to be DYI enthusiasts and started fixing the furniture we bought back from IKEA. Moral of the story? Don't buy things from IKEA if you're taking a flight on the same day. Well it applies to me anyway. :P I'll post pictures up of our loot from IKEA soon. I have to say, the concept of packing everything up in boxes so that customers can pick up, pay and leave is absolutely fantastic. And I'm totally in love with the stand lamp that I bought. It looks like a tulip :D Blunder part 2: Took Helibely out for a well deserved dinner at Crowne Square to congratulate her successful results in the recent SPM exams. Honestly, I had no idea she could score this well~ if you stayed with her under one roof and observed her revision schedule, you'd understand why. (Sorry helibely I had to reveal this) I fell on all fours at the parking lot at Crowne Square. Not a pretty sight, but did you know what was the first line that I blurted out when I "landed"? "Oh dear I hope there aren't any bloggers around!" Enough said eh? Dinner was alright- Missy heli was looking foward to her bentou, but unfortunately, its not available during dinner. So we settled for thai pineapple rice set. Which was "lat-sei-lei" spicy. Ugh. It was a good night out though. I think we should do this more often. The landing on all fours~make that a one off incident please. hehehe Tuesday, March 13, 2007
Judgment day -SPMers Yes its the time of the year again, where eager students flock into their respective schools for that one piece of paper which would determine their fate, once and for all. Yesterday my little sister was one of those eager students. Lets just say we're very proud of her results and I'd like to congratulate her on her success. She's worked hard for it and hopefully, her results will take her far :) However, I personally do not endorse students who sit for each and every paper offered by the Ministry of Education in a bid to beat Amalina (the 17A1s SPM scorer in 2005). There were reports of a girl who was expecting to score 19A1s for her SPM this year. However I have yet to see confirmation news in the papers. Take a break kids. Life's not all about 17A1s, 18A1s etc. Its much much more than that. And getting your SPM results is just the beginning of another journey of your life. Any messages to Helibely may be posted here. Thanks!

Tagged by the good doctor The good doctor wants to know why I blog, so here goes: 1) I wanted an avenue where I could release tension and "terrorise" readers with my incessant ramblings. 2) I wanted to record down events and places which touched my heart. 3) I like to write. And I enjoy the interaction I get with fellow bloggers who drop comments. 4) Its a great way to keep in touch with new friends (and make new ones too!) 5) It gives me room to breathe, especially when I've had a bad day. There! Not taggin anyone today. :)

Happy Chap Goh Meh CNY celebrations come to a close today, as we mark the end of a forthnight's worth of cookie munching, cake eating, kacangma cooking and satay grilling etc. I have so much to write, and yet I do not know how to start. Suffice to say that I received the best birthday present I ever had in my 27 years of life on Earth :). My family has been really supportive, and my sister has been the best! Played tour guide to Arch for the past week~ the guy loves kolo mee, midin and teh-c peng special. Ah, the beauty of cat city... Proper updates coming soon, I hope. In the meantime, girls, dont forget to write your name and numbers on oranges and dump them as far as you can in the river tonight. :)

Profile Right... four years exactly into working life and suddenly I found the urgent need to ramble about my not so interesting life...here goes:
I am: Liberal and radical on paper only. This is the basic description I would give myself. I am a good listener and usually offer sensible advice. If I don't sound like myself, its must be my evil twin at work :P I am passionate about: Music and Arts. Can't imagine what this world would be like without these two essential elements. When I'm not working my head off I like: Meeting new people from all walks of life and listening to their life experiences. I take things with an open mind (albeit not completely Zen like) and always remind myself not to take anything in life for granted. And I wish: All my friends, my family and everybody else who will somehow cross paths with me, a fulfulling life, in terms of work and relationships. And remember, you only live once. So make the best out of it. :) Tag Board Calendar
